Slippery Elm (Salvia officinalis, plant)
Slippery Elm is a tree whose bark is most commonly used to treat diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, and bladder and urinary tract infections. Because it naturally contains something called mucilage, Slippery Elm bark may work to coat irritated mucous membranes, thus reducing coughing or a sore throat. When diluted and applied topically, it may help to soothe and treat wounds.
1-2 capsules with meals, three times per day, six days per week
Not to be used during pregnancy. Consult with your physician before use. Keep away from children. Use only as directed on label.
