Nettle is a prickly, flowering perennial plant that is most commonly used for urinary problems. It may act as a diuretic - increasing urination, protecting bladder health, improving kidney function, and expelling uric acid. It has anti-inflammatory properties as well as an abundance of flavonoids, fatty acid chains, phytoestrogens, phytosterols, carotenoids, vitamins C, B, and K1, sterols, and minerals.
